Ireland’s biggest party comes to Walkergate
Prepare your green clothes and raise a glass of the black stuff – Katie O’Brien’s is set to bring a slice of Ireland’s biggest party to Durham City Centre this March.
Sunday 17th March is St. Patrick’s Day, a celebration of the nation’s patron saint and of all things Irish – but the fun doesn’t stop with one day. Katie O’Brien’s Tavern Durham is making a whole weekend of it.
Three days of festivities and craic
Friday 15th, Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th March will be filled with live music, plenty of Guinness, and enthralling live sport. Ireland are set to face-off against Scotland in the Six Nations rugby union clash. The Premier League is also gearing up for another action packed weekend. Where better to soak in the atmosphere than at Durham’s most popular Irish bar!
Sláinte mhath
Open from 12pm – 2am on Saturdays and 2pm-12am Sundays, there’s no need to book. However, if you are part of a larger group celebrating St. Partrick’s Day, we recommend calling ahead of time to reserve an area. It’s the perfect place to catch up on the craic and celebrate with your friends all year round. Sláinte to that!
If you’re heading into Durham City to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2024, don’t forget to use Walkergate’s ticketless, secure, 24/7 car park.
