November 24th sees Durham Bid’s Christmas Sparkle event come to the city with Durham’s 2024 Christmas lights switch on.
Christmas Sparkle is hosted by Hits Radio North East and kindly sponsored by the City of Durham Parish Council. From 5pm, Durham Market Place will be full of the festive fun, with live performances from local street entertainers and artists. And this year will be extra special with a visit from jolly Saint Nick himself.
It’s sure to be a stocking full of yuletide fun for the entire family as we inch towards the big day. All the Christmas excitement is bound to build up an appetite. Luckily, Walkergate has everything you need for a magical evening out.
